Biblical Errors Found in New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures Book

Jehovah Vs The Devil?

2 Samuel 24:1 – The anger of Jehovah again blazed against Israel when one incited David against them, saying: “Go, take a count of Israel and Judah.

1 Chronicles 21:1 – Then Satan stood up against Israel and incited David to number Israel.

How could Jehovah have been the source of these contradictory “INSPIRATIONS?” Is it Jehovah or is it Satan! In which religion is the Devil synonymous with Jehovah?

Three Vs Seven?

2 Samuel 24:13 – So Gad came into David and told him: “Should seven years of famine come on your land? Or should you flee for three months from your adversaries while they pursue you? Or should there be three days of pestilence in your land? Now consider carefully what I should reply to the One who sent me.”

1 Chronicles 21:11-12 – So Gad came in to David and said to him: “This is what Jehovah says, ‘Take your pick whether there should be three years of famine, or three months of being swept away by your adversaries while the sword of your enemies overtakes you, or three days of the sword of Jehovah—pestilence in the land—with Jehovah’s angel bringing destruction in all the territory of Israel.’ Now consider what I should reply to the One who sent me.”

But while trimming the useless phrase, the author also pruned the time factor from ‘SEVEN” years to “THREE” years. What did God say to Gad – Three or Seven years plague – “on both your houses?”

Seven Hundred Vs Seven Thousand? Horsemen Vs Foot Solders?

2 Samuel 10:18 – But the Syrians fled from Israel; and David killed 700 charioteers and 40,000 horsemen of the Syrians, and he struck down Shobach the chief of their army, who died there.

1 Chronicles 19:18 – But the Syrians fled from Israel; and David killed 7,000 charioteers and 40,000 foot-soldiers of the Syrians, and he put Shobach the chief of the army to death.

How many charioteers did David kill? Seven hundred or seven thousand? And further, did he kill 40,000 horsemen or 40,000 foot-soldiers?

Two Thousand Vs Three Thousand?

1 Kings 7:26 – And its thickness was a handbreadth; and its brim was made like the brim of a cup, like a lily blossom. It would hold 2,000 bath measures.

2 Chronicles 4:5 – And its thickness was handbreadth; and its brim was made like the brim of a cup, like a lily blossom. The reservoir could hold 3,000 bath measures.

The author of 2 Chronicles 4:5 gives Solomon one thousand more stalls of horses than the number of baths he had given him.

History of Judah

Genesis 38:6-19 – In time Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, and her name was Tamar. But Er, Judah’s firstborn, was displeasing to Jehovah; so Jehovah put him to death. In view of that, Judah said to Onan: “Have relations with your brother’s wife and perform brother-in-law marriage with her and raise up offspring for your brother.” But Onan knew that the offspring would not be considered his. So when he did have relations with his brother’s wife, he wasted his semen on the ground so as not to give offspring to his brother. What he did was bad in the eyes of Jehovah, so he also put him to death. Judah said to Tamar his daughter-in-law: “Dwell as a widow in the house of your father until my son Shelah grows up,” for he said to himself: ‘He too may die like his brothers.’ So Tamar went and stayed in her own father’s house.
Some time passed, and Judah’s wife, the daughter of Shua, died. Judah kept the mourning period, and then he went to his sheepshearers in Timnah with his companion Hirah the Adullamite. Tamar was told: “Here your father-in-law is going up to Timnah to shear his sheep.” With that she removed her widow’s clothing and veiled herself and covered herself with a shawl and sat down at the entrance of Enaim, which is on the road to Timnah, for she saw that Shelah had grown up and yet she had not been given to him as a wife.
When Judah caught sight of her, he at once took her for a prostitute, because she had covered her face. 16 So he turned aside to her by the road and said: “Allow me, please, to have relations with you,” for he did not know that she was his daughter-in-law.+ However, she said: “What will you give me that you may have relations with me?” To this he said: “I will send a young goat from my herd.” But she said: “Will you give a security until you send it?” He continued: “What security should I give you?” to which she said: “Your seal ring and your cord and your rod that is in your hand.” Then he gave them to her and had relations with her, and she became pregnant by him. After that she got up and went away and removed her shawl and clothed herself with her widow’s clothing.

Daughters Seduce Their Father

Genesis 19:30-38 – Later Lot went up from Zoar with his two daughters and began living in the mountainous region, because he was afraid to live in Zoar. So he began living in a cave with his two daughters. And the firstborn said to the younger: “Our father is old, and there is not a man in the land to have relations with us according to the custom of the whole earth. Come, let us give our father wine to drink, and let us lie down with him and preserve offspring from our father.”
So that night they kept giving their father wine to drink; then the firstborn went in and lay down with her father, but he did not know when she lay down and when she got up. Then on the next day, the firstborn said to the younger: “Here I lay down with my father last night. Let us give him wine to drink tonight also. Then you go in and lie down with him, and let us preserve offspring from our father.” So that night also, they repeatedly gave their father wine to drink; then the younger went and lay down with him, but he did not know when she lay down and when she got up. So both daughters of Lot became pregnant by their father. The firstborn gave birth to a son and named him Moab. He is the father of the Moabites of today. The younger also gave birth to a son, and she named him Benammi. He is the father of the Ammonites of today.

Prostitution of The Two Sisters

Ezekiel 23:1-4 – The word of Jehovah again came to me, saying: “Son of man, there were two women who were the daughters of the same mother. They became prostitutes in Egypt;b from their youth they engaged in prostitution. Their breasts were squeezed there, and their virgin bosoms were fondled. Their names were Oholah, the older one, and her sister Oholibah. They became mine and gave birth to sons and daughters. As for their names, Oholah is Samaria, and Oholibah is Jerusalem.
“Oholah began to prostitute herself while she belonged to me. She lusted after her passionate lovers, her neighbors the Assyrians. They were governors clothed in blue and deputy rulers—all desirable young men mounted on their horses. She continued to prostitute herself with all the choicest sons of Assyria, and she defiled herself with the disgusting idols* of those she lusted after. She did not abandon the prostitution she practiced in Egypt, for in her youth they had lain down with her, and they fondled her virgin bosom and poured out their lust on her. So I gave her into the hand of her passionate lovers, the sons of Assyria, after whom she had lusted. They exposed her nakedness and seized her sons and daughters, and they killed her with a sword. She became notorious among women, and they executed judgment against her.
“When her sister Oholibah saw it, her lust became even more depraved, and her prostitution was worse than that of her sister. She lusted after her neighbors the sons of Assyria, the governors and deputy rulers who were clothed in splendor and mounted on horses—all desirable young men. When she defiled herself, I saw that both of them had followed the same course. But she kept adding to her acts of prostitution. She saw men carved on the wall, images of Chaldeans carved in vermilion, wearing belts around their waist, with flowing turbans on their heads, having the appearance of warriors, all of them depicting Babylonians, born in the land of the Chaldeans. She began to lust after them as soon as she saw them, and she sent messengers to them in Chaldea. So the sons of Babylon kept coming to her bed of lovemaking, and they defiled her with their lust. After she was defiled by them, she turned away from them in disgust.
“When she went on brazenly engaging in prostitution and exposing her nakedness,p I turned away from her in disgust, just as I had turned away from her sister in disgust. And she kept increasing her acts of prostitution, calling to mind the days of her youth when she prostituted herself in the land of Egypt. She lusted after them like the concubines of men whose male members are like those of a donkey and whose genitals are like those of a horse. You yearned for the obscene conduct of your youth in Egypt when they fondled your bosom, the breasts of your youth.
