Dialogue Between John & Ahmed

John: Can I have a free Quran?
Ahmed: Sure, English, or Spanish?
John: English
Ahmed: Are you Muslim?
John: Yes
Ahmed: You may have more copies for friends or neighbors interested in Islam!
John: No, I’m Christian
Ahmed: Can I tell you about Islam?
John: Yes
Ahmed: The word Islam means to acquire peace by submitting your will to God.
If I tell you that this mall was built by nobody, would you believe me? or If I tell you to throw some dust in the air and it will turn into an iPhone, would you believe me?
John: No
Ahmed: If you think the mall was built by someone, what about the universe? What would happen if the sun was closer to us?
John: Burn to death
Ahmed: What will happen if the sun is far from us?
John: Freeze to death
Ahmed: Who put the sun in the right place? So if God created us, don’t you think he created us for a purpose? If God has a purpose, wouldn’t He communicate it to us?
In Islam we believe since the beginning of time that God sent prophets like Adam, Moses, Jesus and with each prophet he sent miracles so that people would believe in the prophet and everyone would have the same message to worship God. Do you know the miracles of Moses?
John: Split the red sea
Ahmed: Do you know the miracles of Jesus?
John: Healing the blind man. Raising the dead!
Ahmed: He was miraculously born without a father which doesn’t make him a God, but it was an act of God. Adam and Eve were miraculously born without a father, they would be a better God!
We believe that the last prophet was the prophet Muhammad. Do you know his miracles?
John: No
Ahmed: The Quran is the miracle of the Prophet Muhammad; we believe that the Quran is the word of God. We believe the Quran was revealed 1,400 years ago and no one has changed it. It has no scientific mistakes, it talks about so many scientific facts such as big bang theory, stages of embryology in details, water cycle in details, that all living things come from water, universe expansion and mountains have pegs. Who could have mentioned all these facts 1,400 years ago?
John: I don’t know
Ahmed: The good thing about Islam is that it’s a matter of faith, it has to be logical and reasonable, so you read the Quran and prove it yourself.
It also talks about the purpose of life, God created us to purify our souls, the oneness of God. The greatest sin of Islam is that we are not supposed to worship desires, idols, priests, but worship one God. Purify our souls and try to reach God like attributes like for example God is very generous he gives us everything, the rich have to practice generosity and so on…
