Islam: The Religion of All Prophets
Islam is not a new religion but the final culmination and fulfillment of the same basic truth that Allah (God) revealed through all His prophets to every people.
As there is only one God, there is only One Religion. Islam is the preserved pure religion of all prophets sent by Allah. Islam means the complete submission and obedience to Allah. Therefore, all prophets were indeed Muslims because they were true submitters to the will of Allah, the Creator.
Certainly, Allah’s only Way is Islam. Those who were given the Scripture did not dispute among themselves out of mutual envy until knowledge came to them. Whoever denies Allah’s signs, then surely Allah is swift in reckoning. [Quran 3:19]
Whoever seeks a way other than Islam, it will never be accepted from them, and in the Hereafter they will be among the losers. [Quran 3:85]
Prophet Abraham Was Muslim
Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian; he submitted in all uprightness1 and was not a polytheist. [Quran 3:67]
This was the advice of Abraham — as well as Jacob — to his children, saying, “Indeed, Allah has chosen for you this faith; so do not die except in a state of full submission.” [Quran 2:132]
Prophet Joseph Was Muslim
Joseph said: “My Lord! You have surely granted me authority and taught me the interpretation of dreams. O Originator of the heavens and the earth! You are my Guardian in this world and the Hereafter. Allow me to die as one who submits and join me with the righteous.” [Quran 12:101]
Prophet Jacob and His Sons Were Muslims
Or did you witness when death came to Jacob? He asked his children, “Who will you worship after my passing?” They replied, “We will continue to worship your God, the God of your forefathers — Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac—the One God. And to Him we all submit.” [Quran 2:133]
Prophet Jesus and his Disciples Were Muslims
When Jesus sensed disbelief from his people, he asked, “Who will stand up with me for Allah?” The disciples replied, “We will stand up for Allah. We believe in Allah, so bear witness that we have submitted.” [Quran 3:52]
And how I inspired the disciples, “Believe in Me and My messenger!” They declared, “We believe and bear witness that we fully submit to Allah.” [Quran 5:111]
Allah (God) Almighty Says in The Quran:
In fact, We hurl the truth against falsehood, leaving it crushed, and it quickly vanishes. And woe be to you for what you claim! To Him belong all those in the heavens and the earth. And those nearest to Him are not too proud to worship Him, nor do they tire. [Quran 21:18-19]
